Residents and businesses are reminded NOT to blow, shovel, or plow snow into Village streets after a snow event.  This creates a hazardous condition for motorists and requires unnecessary return trips by the snowplow.   In addition, State Statutes and Village Ordinances prohibit this action and doing so may result in a fine.

Snow and ice must be removed from public sidewalks within 24 hours of a snow/ice event.

Adopt a Hydrant - Property owners can help by clearing snow and ice from around fire hydrants near their property.  Keeping hydrants accessible will result in saving precious time crucial to firefighters responding to an incident.  After extreme snowfalls, you can help by clearing a hydrant near your home when you clear your driveway and sidewalk.
