Colonial Pkwy Reconstruction Update

The Colonial Pkwy Reconstruction Project is in progress and will include pulverization and repaving of the roadway, spot replacement of curb & gutter, driveway approaches and sidewalks, new ADA ramps at the intersections, and replacing existing storm sewer and storm inlets.

The anticipated start date for pavement pulverization is October 26th.  This work is weather dependent and subject to change.  While asphalt is being pulverized and before it is rolled and compacted, it is best to stay off the roadway.  Once the pulverized asphalt is compacted, the roadway will be drivable.  Please drive slowly through this construction zone.  Paving is scheduled to begin later in the week of Oct. 26th.  The paving schedule is largely dependent upon the condition of the road base and weather.

Signage has been placed to limit traffic to local residents only.  The roadway will be drivable throughout the project.
